Jack-O'-Lantern Pie

1 (3.25-ounce) box orange gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1 pint vanilla ice cream, softened
1 (9-inch) chocolate pie crust
Candy corn
Black licorice strips
Whipped topping, if desired

  1. Pour gelatin into a bowl. Add boiling water. Stir until dissolved.
  2. Add ice cream to gelatin. Stir until ice cream is melted and mixture is smooth. Place in refrigerator and chill until slightly thick, but not set.
  3. Remove from refrigerator and pour mixture into pie crust. Refrigerate pie until firm, about 2 hours or overnight.
  4. Before serving make Jack-O-Lantern face on pie with candy corn and licorice. Decorate with whipped topping if desired.

Makes 8 to 10 servings.
