Orange and Chocolate Marble Cheesecake
1 box Chocolate Wafers - (9oz)
6 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
3 packages cream cheese -- (8oz)
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
5 eggs
2 ounces melted semisweet chocolate
2 teaspoons grated orange peel
Mix the melted butter and the cookie crumbs. Set aside 1/2 C. of the
mixture. Press the rest on the bottom and 1 1/2" up the sides of the
pan. Put in the refrigerator while you do the rest. Beat the cream
cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl at medium speed with
mixer. Add one egg at a time.
Remove 1 C of the batter and add the reserved
the crumbs. Set aside.
Stir the orange peel into the remaining batter
and pour into the refrigerated crust.
Top with spoonfuls of chocolate batter. Using a
knife, swirl batter into marble.
Bake at 300 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until
set. Cool in the pan on a wire rack. Refrigerate for at least 4
hours. Release from spring form when ready to serve. |
